Hollywood hosts RSL dignitaries on a special tour of the hospital
Jun 01, 2016
On 31 May, Hollywood Private Hospital CEO, Peter Mott welcomed National RSL President, Ken Doolan, State RSL President, Graham Edwards, and State RSL CEO Phil Orchard, for a guided tour of the hospital.
A key focus of the tour was the unique range of mental health programs on offer at The Hollywood Clinic - the hospital’s 70-bed standalone private mental health facility. In response to demand for its services, The Clinic was expanded in May 2014 with purpose-built facilities designed to offer the best possible mental health care to the Western Australian community.
The tour also highlighted the new Anne Leach Wing which was completed in November last year and comprises six additional state-of-the-art theatres, three new wards and a new kitchen. As a result of the expansion, Hollywood is now able to care for 70,000 patients and perform 42,000 procedures each year
Commenting on the visit Mr Mott said “Hollywood has provided care for veterans for over 70 years. For more than 20 years as a Ramsay hospital, we have continued to expand and enhance our facilities to provide a comprehensive range of services that meet the healthcare needs of our veterans patients”.
“Hollywood has a special connection with WA’s veterans, and it’s a privilege to be able to care for them in our hospital. We look forward continuing this relationship into the future”, he said.
