Apr 02, 2013
Having already won the Outstanding Student Nurse Award, Hollywood Private Hospital's Enrolled Nurse Graduate, Rebecca Godin is now one in four finalists for the 2012 Vocational Student of the Year Award.
The Vocational Student of the Year Award, which is one of five of the Major Student Awards awarded by Challenger Institute of Technology, is awarded to someone who demonstrates excellence in academic performance, superior teamwork, a positive attitude to training and a strong commitment to their chosen career.
According to Rebecca, her lecturers nominated her by a "unanimous decision".
"It was so exciting when I was recognised and selected by my lecturers as the Outstanding Student Nurse. I was in a class of 30 other highly skilled Enrolled Nurses (EN) and it was this recognition which drove me to submit the selection criteria for the Vocational Student of the Year Award".
If Rebecca wins this award she will then be a finalist for the prestigious Student of the Year Award.
Rebecca, who is passionate in the field of mental health, is one of two student nurses who have recently been chosen for the inaugural Mental Health 12 month program at Hollywood Private Hospital.
"Hollywood is the only private hospital to offer a general and mental health EN Graduate Program and I can't wait to start training in this exciting and challenging field, said Rebecca".
Hollywood Private Hospital is a modern, 659 bed state-of-the-art acute care hospital in Nedlands. The hospital is a part of Ramsay Health Care Group – Australia's largest private hospital operator.
