Hollywood Private Hospital Clinical Nurse Educator and Graduate Nurse Coordinator, Emma Arnold, was named winner of the WA Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards’ Education and Research category on Saturday night.

Commenting on her achievement, Emma said “I’m extremely honoured to receive this Award, especially with the knowledge that there are so many deserving, amazing nurses in our industry.”

“I also feel very fortunate to work for such a wonderful hospital that encourages and facilitates development opportunities for its employees, which for me is in the area of education and research.”

Emma commenced her employment at Hollywood as a graduate nurse 15 years ago. For the first 11 years, she cared for patients as a nurse on the wards, whilst also working as a practice nurse for one of Hollywood’s medical specialists.

Since then, Emma has played an important role in the education of others as a member of the hospital’s Training and Development Team.

Her role covers a wide range of areas related to the education and professional development of Hollywood’s nursing professionals, as well as graduates starting their nursing journey.

“Education is my passion and being able to pass on my knowledge to others in the profession is a true privilege. It’s incredibly rewarding to support our nurses and graduates and see their confidence grow through increased knowledge,” Emma concluded.

Hollywood Director of Clinical Services, Karen Gullick, added “We’re incredibly proud of Emma. Her success is well deserved and her commitment to excellence is a wonderful example to others in the industry.”
