Hollywood Theatre Staff Step Up for MSWA
Jun 23, 2021
Hollywood Private Hospital theatre staff stair-climbed the tallest building in Perth to raise money for Western Australians living with neurological conditions.
Eleven Hollywood team members climbed 1103 steps (53 flights of stairs) each at Central Park on Sunday (June 20).
The team raised $1750 in the Step Up For MSWA Front Line Workers Challenge, which involved hospital staff, WA Police, firefighters, St John Ambulance paramedics and State Emergency Service personnel battling it out to be named the fittest and fastest in the West.
Overall, 1200 participants raised $249,000 in the Step Up For MSWA Challenge.
Hollywood Clinical Nurse Manager Suzanne Thompson said staff had a great time and all 11 team members made it to the top.
MSWA is a not-for-profit organisation that provides vital support and services to people living with neurological conditions in WA. This includes people living with multiple sclerosis (MS), stroke, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, motor neurone disease and acquired brain injury.
