Hollywood Private Hospital nurses recruited into national leadership program

Aug 17, 2022

TWO Clinical Nurse Managers from Hollywood Private Hospital have been accepted into a highly-competitive national leadership program.

David Dineen and Tracy McFadzean were accepted into the Ramsay Health Care Nurse Leaders of Tomorrow program.

The program supports Ramsay nurse managers with a formal upskilling course to develop them as leaders and reach their goals of obtaining senior nursing positions.

Mr Dineen and Ms McFadzean recently returned from Brisbane, where they started their year-long journey on the program.

“I feel so honoured to be accepted into the program,” Ms McFadzean said.

“I had heard about how competitive the program is and was surprised and humbled to be accepted.

“I am excited to be working alongside other senior leaders in Ramsay and strengthening working relationships across Australia.

“I feel inspired in my role and excited for the future.”

David said it was great having the opportunity to collaborate with our peers interstate to share ideas.

“We have learnt about each other’s challenges and experiences especially over the last two years which have been particularly challenging to our industry,” he said.

“This program will allow me to become a better leader for my team and future roles within the organisation.”

Ramsay Health Care’s Chief Nurse and Clinical Services Director, Dr Bernadette Eather, said the Nurse Leaders of Tomorrow Program provides mentorship and leadership opportunities for participants.

“These frontline leaders play a critical role in patient care, while also serving as people and business managers,” she said.

The Ramsay Health Care Nurse Leaders of Tomorrow program is part of a suite of professional development programs in the Ramsay Nursing and Midwifery Academy.
