After nine years as the Chief Executive Officer at Hollywood, Mr Mott is stepping down to take on a more strategic role with parent company Ramsay Health Care in Western Australia.

He will be succeeded by Peel Health Campus Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Tome, who previously worked at Hollywood as the Director of Finance and Corporate Services.

During Mr Mott’s time in the leadership role, Hollywood has emerged as a major player in the national health industry.

With more than 900 beds and 2000 staff caring for about 88,000 patients each year, Hollywood is now the largest hospital in WA and the largest private hospital in Australia.

Mr Mott has overseen a number of multi-million dollar developments, including the commissioning of a new private emergency department in late 2021.

“I am exceptionally proud of each of the capital projects we’ve delivered, particularly the impact they have had with improving access to health services in the community,” Mr Mott said.

“Our dedicated team of health professionals and support staff take great pride in delivering excellent patient care to achieve the best possible health outcomes.

“Of particular note was a review by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) last year, where we received outstanding results and two exemplar in practice nominations, which is testament to the great work our team do.”

Ramsay Health Care Chief Operating Officer – Hospitals, Greg Hall, said Mr Mott had made an outstanding contribution to Hollywood and healthcare in WA.

Mr Hall praised Mr Mott for his execution of a site masterplan/service plan for the growth of Hollywood.

“Notably the number of operating theatres increased from 10 to 20 during Peter’s time as CEO,” Mr Hall said.

“Peter also helped increase mental health in-patient beds to over 100 - making Hollywood the largest private provider of Mental Health Services in WA.

“Peter has also overseen the introduction of new clinical services including cardiothoracic surgery and a comprehensive cancer centre which features radiation oncology and a new state-of-the-art endoscopy suite.”

In addition to his role at Hollywood, Mr Mott represented Hollywood and Ramsay Health Care in a number of external forums and is currently Deputy President of the Australian Private Hospitals Association and he also Chairs its Workforce Committee.

After a transition period, Mr Mott will move to a part-time role assisting Mr Hall, who is also the WA State Manager for Ramsay Health Care.
