Dec 08, 2021
Hollywood Private Hospital has been converted into a celebration of Christmas, with many wards across the campus decorated for festive cheer.
Staff have been spreading Christmas spirit by dressing up and decorating the hospital for patients and visitors to enjoy.
Director of Clinical Services Karen Gullick said she was impressed by how staff had embraced the annual Christmas Decorations Competition.
“It is really heart-warming to see the efforts our staff have made - their creativity and innovation is amazing,” Ms Gullick said.
“Staff have really brightened up the hospital for our patients and visitors over the festive season.”
Gosse Ward won the competition with a travel/international theme. A feature of Gosse Ward were dozens of origami birds hanging from the ceiling, made by Clinical Nurse Manager Carol Chung.
Axford Ward promoted health messages for their patients recovering from orthopaedic surgery through the 12 days of Christmas, while staff from Recovery went with a Grinch theme to provide light relief for patients.
