New CEO outlines priorities for Hollywood Private Hospital

Exceeding expectations and optimising healthcare outcomes for patients are just two of the priorities for new Hollywood Private Hospital Chief Executive Officer Andrew Tome.

Mr Tome took over the top job at Hollywood this month, as former Chief Executive Officer Peter Mott transitions to a more strategic role with parent company Ramsay Health Care.

Mr Tome said he was excited about his new role at the helm of WA’s largest hospital and one of the biggest private hospitals in Australia.

“Under Peter’s guidance, Hollywood enjoyed a significant expansion of services, such as a new emergency department, comprehensive cancer care, a new cardiothoracic theatre and expanded mental health facilities,” Mr Tome said.

“We will continue to consolidate these achievements to ensure Hollywood caters for the future healthcare needs of Western Australians.

Mr Tome said Hollywood has a reputation for quality patient care.

“We aim to exceed these expectations, concentrating on the overall patient experience,” Mr Tome said.

“Our priority is to provide an exceptionally high standard of care with optimal healthcare outcomes.

Mr Tome was the Chief Executive Officer at Peel Health Campus for several years and previously worked at Hollywood as the Director of Finance and Corporate Services.

He has more than 20-years’ experience in the health and mining industries, having worked in Australia, Asia, Europe and the USA.

Ramsay Health Care’s Chief Operating Officer – Hospitals, Greg Hall, said Mr Tome had a history of building strong working relationships with stakeholders.
