Background & Training
Dr Ung completed his undergraduate medical degree at the University of Western Australia and his entire postgraduate cardiology training at Royal Perth Hospital, including a year in the Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation Unit. He later undertook overseas fellowship training in adult congenital heart disease at The Heart Hospital, UCLH London.
His interests include:
- The medical management of all aspects of general cardiology and optimisation of care of heart failure patients.
- Long term follow up and management of congenital heart disease in the adult population.
- The diagnosis and management of sleep disordered breathing associated with heart failure.
Dr Ung consults from Cardio Vascular Services (CVS) in Karrinyup, Nedlands, Midland and Mandurah. He has a public hospital appointment at St John of God Hospital in Midland and is also a consulting cardiologist at the Congenital Heart Disease Clinic at SCGH. Dr Ung’s consults and practices privately at Hollywood Hospital in Nedlands.
