Clinical Practice
Dr Ung’s clinical practice encompasses the medical management of all aspects of general cardiology, with a particular focus on optimising care for heart failure patients. He also specialises in the long-term follow-up and management of congenital heart disease in the adult population, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of sleep-disordered breathing associated with heart failure.

His key areas of interest include heart failure and cardiac transplantation, adult congenital heart disease, and sleep-disordered breathing in cardiac patients. These reflect his commitment to both acute and chronic cardiac care across diverse patient populations.
Background & Training
Dr Ung completed his undergraduate medical degree at the University of Western Australia. He undertook his entire postgraduate cardiology training at Royal Perth Hospital, including a dedicated year in the Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation Unit. He later completed overseas fellowship training in adult congenital heart disease at The Heart Hospital, University College London Hospitals (UCLH), London.

Dr Ung consults privately from Cardio Vascular Services (CVS) in Nedlands. He also holds a public hospital appointment at St John of God Hospital in Midland and has admitting rights to Hollywood Private Hospital.
