Clinical Practice
Dr Nangrahary is a passionate doctor who is a Specialist Cardiologist and also a Specialist General Physician. Her main focus is in complex care patients, women's health, obstetrics, cardiac disease in pregnancy. She performs elective and procedural transesophageal echocardiograms (TOEs) and angiograms in her public practice at SCGH and KEMH.
Dr. Nangrahary provides comprehensive care to patients with common and intricate cardiac conditions, which includes diagnostic testing and treatment for acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions. She strives to deliver personalized, high-quality cardiac care to all patients with cardiac conditions. Dr. Nangrahary sees a broad spectrum of heart-related issues, including coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, structural heart disease, pulmonary hypertension, heart failure, heart rhythm disorders, lipid disorders, and high blood pressure.
Background & training
Following the completion of her medical degree in the Netherlands, she pursued further specializations in Cardiology and General Medicine in Western Australia. She completed her fellowship in Echocardiography at Fiona Stanley Hospital, where she developed a keen interest in heart failure and spearheaded the Heart Failure Clinic at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH). Her focus then shifted towards Obstetric Medicine and Cardiology, which she pursued through specialised training at King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH).
Mary is an enthusiastic advocate of teaching and research, and she currently serves as a clinical guest lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Western Australia. Additionally, she is the Chief Investigator of a clinical trial titled "Pre-eclampsia and Cardiac Dysfunction in Diabetic Pregnancy" at KEMH.
