Dr. Avadhesh Saraswat is a specialist cardiologist with expertise in the assessment and management of chest pain, coronary angiography, and stenting. He is extensively trained in cardiac catheterisation, coronary physiology assessment, intracoronary imaging, and percutaneous coronary intervention, including complex techniques such as chronic total occlusion (CTO) revascularisation. Dr. Saraswat is also a passionate advocate for cardiac research and education, with academic interests in CTO revascularisation, coronary microvascular physiology assessment, and hybrid coronary revascularisation methods.
Background & Training
Dr. Saraswat graduated from Bond University in Queensland and completed his medical training at Gold Coast University Hospital and The Prince Charles Hospital, qualifying as a Cardiologist. He then moved to Perth for an interventional cardiology fellowship at Royal Perth Hospital, followed by further fellowship training in complex coronary interventions and CTO revascularisation at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, Canada. Outside of work, he enjoys good coffee, hiking with his family, and spending time outdoors.
