Clinical Practice
Dr Gordon’s is a Specialist Gastroenterologist whose focus is on taking the time with patients to understand their symptoms, concerns and treatment goals in order to develop individualised management plans utilising a multidisciplinary approach and both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions. She is particularly interested in the management of inflammatory bowel disease, with the goal of optimising patients’ quality of life. This includes the discussion of family planning and the management during pregnancy for IBD patients.
Background and Training
Dr Gordon grew up in Perth and graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2010 with a MBBS (Hons). She trained in gastroenterology at Royal North Shore and Liverpool Hospitals in Sydney. She subsequently undertook two fellowships in inflammatory bowel disease; a clinical fellowship at Fiona Stanley Hospital and then a clinical and research fellowship as part of the IBD Pharmacogenetics Research Group at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital in the United Kingdom.
