Clinical Practice
Dr. Clifford's practice at Hollywood Private Hospital encompasses a range of advanced image-guided interventional techniques. He focuses on various embolisation procedures, including treatments for prostate, fibroid, varicocele, ovarian vein, and genicular vein conditions. His clinical practice extends to cancer treatments, particularly in Infusaport placement and Selective Internal Radiotherapy (SIRT). Most recently, he has focused on embolisation therapy during his tenure at the Wesley Hospital in Queensland.
Research & Teaching
Matt maintains an active role in medical education and research, contributing to the advancement of Interventional Radiology while maintaining a strong commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based treatments.
Background and Training
Dr. Clifford, who holds an MBBS (Honours) from the University of Western Australia and a Diploma of Child Health from the University of Sydney, achieved the EBIR certification in 2023. He was recognized at the 2024 CIRSE Congress in Lisbon with the EBIR Certificate of Distinction as one of the top two candidates worldwide. He completed his radiology training in Western Australia and further honed his skills through dual fellowships in Body Imaging and Interventional Radiology at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.
