Colin Whitewood is an Orthopaedic Surgeon treating both adult and paediatric patients. Colin focuses on arthroplasty, arthroscopic surgery, knee surgery, hip surgery and paediatric orthopaedic surgery. Colin consults with private, workers compensation and motor vehicle patients at all locations. Alongside his private practice at Hollywood Private Hospital he also has current Public Hospital appointments at Perth Children's Hospital, Nickol Bay Hospital and Hedland Health Campus.
Background & Training
Mr Colin Whitewood originally graduated as a Physiotherapist, but his interest in musculo-skeletal medicine inspired him to return to university and complete his training as a doctor, specialising in orthopaedic surgery. He graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery.
Mr Whitewood obtained Post-Graduate Fellowship Training in Lower Limb Joint Replacement Surgery in London (Ontario) and has also completed a Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery Fellowship at the Royal Childrens’ Hospital in Melbourne. His interests include all aspects of knee and hip surgery in the paediatric and adult populations, including arthroscopic and joint replacement surgery.
