Clinical Practice
Mr Ryan Lisle is a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon with expertise in knee and shoulder conditions, including complex sporting injuries and robotic knee surgery. He offers timely access to care and is a registered no-gap provider with major health funds, with many patients able to be seen within one week. Mr Lisle provides comprehensive assessment and management for patients of all ages with sports injuries, trauma, or degenerative joint conditions. He focuses on clear, collaborative communication, ensuring patients understand their treatment options and expected outcomes. Where surgery is unlikely to provide sustained benefit, he develops individualised non-operative management plans tailored to each patient’s goals and lifestyle. Alongside his colleagues, Mr Lisle regularly visits Karratha and Port Hedland as part of his commitment to regional orthopaedic care. His public appointments include Hedland Health Campus, Karratha Health Campus, and Perth Children’s Hospital.
Background & Training
Born and raised in Perth, Mr Lisle studied medicine at the University of Western Australia. He commenced orthopaedic training in Victoria before returning to Western Australia, completing his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2013. He then undertook two additional years of subspecialty training in paediatric orthopaedics and arthroscopic surgery. His advanced training included:
- Paediatric Orthopaedic Fellowship, Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne
- Arthroscopic & Reconstructive Knee Surgery Fellowship, North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre with Dr Justin Roe
- Arthroscopic Surgical Techniques Training, University of British Columbia, Vancouver
These experiences solidified his expertise in paediatric orthopaedics, complex knee reconstruction, and advanced arthroscopic surgery.
