Serving as President of Arthritis and Osteoporosis WA since 1989 and a dedicated Board Member since 1988, Dr. Edelman has played a pivotal role in the organization's leadership. His notable achievements include securing support and funding for the construction of the Wyllie Arthritis Centre.
Additionally, Dr. Edelman has been instrumental in establishing the Chair of Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Medicine at the University of Western Australia, contributing significantly to the advancement of medical education and research.
