Mr Justin Vivian is a well established and experienced Specialist Urological Surgeon whose focus is on the individual patient needs and expectations and offers surgical intervention when needed. He has special interests in laparoscopic and da Vinci robotic urological surgery, urological cancer surgery, stone surgery and vasectomy reversal. His main interest is in male prostatic cancer issues.
Background & Training
Dr Justin Vivian undertook undergraduate medical training at the University of Western Australia and postgraduate Urological Surgical training at Royal Perth Hospital, Royal Melbourne Hospital, Austin Repatriation Hospital (Melbourne), and Princess Alexander Hospital (Brisbane).
He performed the first laparoscopic nephrectomy in WA with Dr Peter Wilsher at Royal Perth Hospital in 2000 and he performed the first laparoscopic renal donor operation in Western Australia with Professor Mohan Rao in 2001. In 2004 he pioneered laparoscopic radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer in WA. In 2007 he trained on the da Vinci Robotic Assisted Surgical System in Sunnyvale, USA and he performed the first Robotic Assisted Laparoscopic Prostatectomy in WA in December 2007 with Dr Richard Pemberton.
