Dr Hockings is a Specialist Urological Surgeon who treats all urological issues in men and women. She is a no gap provider for surgery and routine cases can generally be seen in 2-3 weeks with urgent cases assessed immediately. Her focus is on making patients comfortable and relaxed, and providing them with realistic expectations of their treatment outcomes in a given timeframe. Dr Hockings is committed to ensuring equal access to the best medical treatment.

Clincal Practice

Dr Hockings is a Specialist Urological Surgeon who works from rooms at the Hollywood Medical Centre treating all urological issues in men and women. She has subspecialty interests in urinary stone disease, benign prostatic hyperplasia including GreenLight Laser Therapy. Her focus is on making the  patients confortable and relaxed and providing them with realistic expectations of the treatment outcomes achieveable in a given timeframe.

Dr Hockings practices across a range of urology issues in both men and women and has an excellent reputation for her patient communication skills and her commitment to ensuring equal access to the best medical treatment. She considers herself to be ‘surgically conservative’, preferring to first exhaust all non-surgical avenues of treatment.

Background & Training

Dr Hockings completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Western Australia and through her training, Dr Hockings travelled extensively doing foreign aid work. Dr Hockings has completed extensive research in uro-oncology. During 2013, she undertook a joint Fellowship at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and St Vincent's Hospital in Melbourne.

Currently, Dr Hockings teaches with the Royal Australian College of Surgeons through the Clinical Training and Evaluation Centre (CTEC) in Nedlands and mentors at the University of Western Australia. She has also lectured in general medicine at Melbourne University's Medical School.
