Dr. Goodwin is a Specialist Urological Surgeon at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. He also works at Osborne Park Hospital, Hollywood Hospital, Subiaco, and visits Kalgoorlie Health Campus. He offers comprehensive urological services with interests in urological surgical oncology, including multidisciplinary cancer management, urinary stone surgery, and BPH. Background & Training
Dr. Goodwin trained originally in the UK, qualifying MB BChir in 1990. He entered specialist training in 1995 with posts at The London Institute of Urology, St George Hospital, Queen Square London, The Institute of Urology (London), and the Royal Marsden Hospital. He achieved FRCS (Urol) (UK) in 2001 and completed a research-based Masters degree (MSc Urology) in 1997. After specialist training, he spent time as a Fellow at Sir Charles Gairdner and Royal Perth Hospital (2002-2024) and emigrated to Australia in 2011, being awarded FRACS in 2014 along with his citizenship and practising rights.
Research and Teaching
Dr. Goodwin has a strong background in research, having completed a Masters degree (MSc Urology) in 1997. His research interests and contributions have been integral to his practice, particularly in the areas of urological cancer surgery, stone surgery, and BPH. He is also involved in teaching, sharing his extensive knowledge and experience with the next generation of urologists.
