Clinical Practice

Stefan offers a contemporary comprehensive vascular service treating all aspects of vascular disease (arterial and venous), using up to date evidence based medicine, state of the art procedures and techniques as well as his extensive personal experience. Utilising open, minimally invasive endovascular and conservative options, Stefan treats all aspects of peripheral arterial disease, varicose vein disorders , aneurysmal disease, carotid artery disease, renal access and intravenous access, ulcer and diabetic foot management. He has a particular focus in non-invasive vascular imaging, with Perth VascuScan providing fully integrated vascular ultrasound within his practice.

Stefan’s ethos has always been to put himself in his patient’s shoes, providing patients a straight forward, clear and reassuring experience. Through the use of conservative medical therapies, minimally invasive endovascular techniques and open surgery, Stefan is able to tailor treatment for the very best outcome.

Despite leaving the public sector in 2016, Stefan is always happy to see public patients in his rooms and maintains close associations with the public sector. Stefan’s private practice is based at Ponosh Vascular in Nedlands and he operates extensively at Hollywood Private Hospital and SJOG Subiaco.

Stephen provides a proactive acute and chronic management service and is happy to speak to colleagues and GP’s for all urgent cases directly or via the rooms.

  • All inpatient services are no gap for private patients.
  • Public and private patients are seen in the private clinic at Hollywood Hospital.
  • Urgent appointments available or direct admission to hospital if required.
  • Available at any time for urgent phone advice and assistance.
  • All vascular imaging (Ultrasound & CT) bulk billed.

Away from work Stefan loves to travel and have the right work-life balance with his partner Anna and their 5 children.
